What is Skin Needling?

Skin needling is used to deliver a cocktail of essential ingredients directly into the layers of the skin which need it the most. This is to increase the production of elastin and collagen, also known as collagen induction therapy. This treatment is perfect to reduce the appearance of scarring, fine lines and wrinkles and also to boost the overall health and radiance of the skin.

    • Essential Skin Needling
      This treatment is perfect to reduce the appearance of scarring, fine lines and wrinkles and also to boost the overall health and radiance of the skin.
    • Needling with Peel
      When combined with a peel, the effects of skin needling are enhanced, as the products are able to penetrate deeper into the skin.
  • Ice Ball Massage
    Ice cold glass balls are applied using synchronised movements for 10 minutes in order to stimulate the circulatory and lymphatic systems, reducing any puffiness whilst calming the skin.
  • LED
    The LED Treatment can be tailored to your skin concerns. LED lights are particularly useful for targeting signs of ageing, acne and healing scars.
  • Boa Max 2 – Lymphatic Drainage

How does it work?

Needling causes minor surface damage, stimulating skin’s natural healing processes, whilst stimulating Collagen and Elastin production.

What can I expect during the treatment?

The procedure itself is relatively quick. Depending on the needle depth, it may cause an element of discomfort. You will experience a mild pressure or a prickling sensation and your Therapist will monitor your level of discomfort carefully, in order to adjust the treatment to within your tolerance.

Is there any downtime?

There may be downtime, depending on the depth of the needle. Immediately after your treatment, your skin may appear flushed and feel warm, this can last anything from a few hours to a few days. You may experience itching, a tight feeling or light flaking of the skin. In very rare circumstances, you may experience pin prick bleeding and bruising.

How many sessions do I need?

Clients typically need 1 treatment to start seeing a difference. However, a course of treatments is always recommended to see more defined and lasting results. As a guide:

  • Skin Rejuvenation: 4-6 treatments, 4 weeks apart
  • Acne Scarring: 6 treatments, 6 weeks apart
  • Stretch Marks: 4-8 treatments (4-6weeks apart)

However, during your consultation, once we have a better idea of your specific concerns, exact skin type, lifestyle, nutritional habits and medical history we will establish a treatment programme tailored to you. After your consultation, we will be able to better advise you on the number of sessions you might need and at what intervals.

How can I maintain my results?

We always recommend home treatments together with lifestyle and nutritional adjustments to support all treatments in-clinic. We also recommend coming in for maintenance appointments.
