After cleansing and preparing the skin, a peel including formulations benefiting from the latest ingredients, such as peptides, Derma Membrane Complex, Bioecolia and Epidermal Growth Factors is applied to the skin and left on for between 2 to 5 mins.
BiodrogaMD’s current ingredient library can provide the skin with optimal benefits and give each treatment maximum efficacy.
During the treatment you may experience some temporary discomfort such as tingling, stinging, heat, tightness or warm flushing. These side effects will fade within a few minutes. During the hours following your treatment, you may experience some tightening of the skin, which may last for few days.
Mild redness might occur immediately after the resurfacing treatment, but this “rebound redness” usually goes away on its own. Some clients experience temporary discolouration and flaking. We ask for clients to refrain from intense workouts or anything else that may create heat in the body after the treatment.
A course of six peels is recommended. However, during your consultation, once we have a better idea of your specific concerns, exact skin type, lifestyle, nutritional habits and medical history we will establish a treatment programme tailored to your individual needs. After your consultation, we will be able to better advise you on the number of sessions you might need and at what intervals.
We often recommend mixed modality treatments, which are always supported by at-home treatments.
We always recommend home treatments together with lifestyle and nutritional adjustments to support all treatments in-clinic. We also recommend coming in for maintenance appointments.
