What are Lesions?
Lesions are marks, indents or raised areas of skin, these can include freckles, milia, skin tags, cherry angiomas and age spots. We offer a few treatments such as LASER, electrolysis and resurfacing to remove lesions. The most appropriate treatment for you will be decided upon Consultation.
For electrolysis there is no ‘typical’ treatment as all Clients are treated as individuals. Treatments can vary from a short 10 minute appointment, to an hour appointment, depending on the area being treated. All treatment plans will be discussed on the day of the consultation. During your consultation you are encouraged to ask questions, so you are fully informed about your course of treatments before commencing.

Electrolysis can be a little uncomfortable for many people but others can fall asleep during treatment. During the treatment a sensation will be experienced like a tingle, heat or a minor sting. Everyone has their own individual pain threshold which can be affected by a number of factors:
- 1)Health, stress, time of menstruation
- 2)Area to be treated
- 3)Strength and size of hair
- 4)Skin sensitivity
- 5)Type of current used
One thing that you can depend on is that electrolysis does work, so any minor discomfort is well worth the results.
Immediately after an electrolysis treatment it is normal for the skin to be sensitive with a pink appearance. This reaction is temporary and should return to normal within 24 hours. If you are having an advanced cosmetic procedure your blemish is likely to take on a different appearance that will heal over time. Following your treatment an aftercare product will be applied to calm and soothe the area, protecting it from an unwanted reaction. We strongly recommend you purchase aftercare products to continue the good work at home.
Clients typically need 1-2 treatments. However, during your consultation, once we have a better idea of your specific concerns, exact skin type, lifestyle, nutritional habits and medical history we will establish a treatment programme tailored to you. After your consultation, we will be able to better advise on the number of sessions you might need and at what intervals.
We often recommend mixed modality treatments, which are always supported by at-home treatments.
We always recommend home treatments together with lifestyle and nutritional adjustments to support all treatments in-clinic. We also recommend coming in for maintenance appointments if the concern resurfaces.
Before your treatment commences, you will be invited to book an in-depth consultation to assess your concerns, and to identify any underlying causes. You are also given a proposed tailored treatment plan and pricing package.
We provide a tailored skin management programme designed specifically to your skin type, photo type and skin concern. Our clients unlock access to a dedicated, client-only support line.
